Meet Marine Strappazzon, Transju'Cyclo ambassador
Meet Marine Strappazzon, Transju'Cyclo ambassador and Territorial Technical Manager at the Comité Régional de Cyclisme de Bourgogne Franche-Comté. Today, she looks back on her two participations in the event and gives us her thoughts and advice.
What impressed you the most?
I took part in the first two editions of the Transju'Cyclo, each time on the 110 km event, to take full advantage of the Jura. The climbs are pleasant, and I particularly appreciate the Jura setting, especially the small forest roads.
There are no particular difficulties, as long as you adapt your pace to the course. The start is always fast, but what's nice about this event is that there are differences in levels, so you can form several groups and not find yourself alone in the event.
The Transju'Cyclo in three words: beautiful, fun and festive
Scenic beauty: this is a must for a cyclo tour if you want to take in the sights!
Pleasant to ride: beautiful roads in good condition.
Festive atmosphere: the volunteers are really friendly and committed, making this a very family-friendly cyclo.
What's your favorite part of the event?
I appreciate the fervor at the start, but above all the festive atmosphere at the finish with the various stands on offer to participants. The announcer is very involved and knows how to set the right mood. The course is a real pleasure, because I come here to enjoy a great day's cycling.
What advice would you give to participants in the Transju'Cyclo, especially those taking part in the 110-160km event?
The course is hilly, so there's never a dull moment. It's important to eat well and stay hydrated during the event, as well as in the days leading up to it (starchy foods, carbohydrates, proteins, sports drinks). It's a "fat-busting" circuit that demands energy throughout the event.
If you had to convince someone to sign up for the event, what would you say?
It's a very well organized cyclo. The Transju' is a great organization with a real know-how to satisfy participants. The routes are top-notch, the atmosphere is festive and everything is organized with optimum safety in mind.
We look forward to seeing you on September 7 and 8, 2024 for the third edition of the Transju'Cyclo.
