Thomas Joly and Hanna Fine shine at the Transju’ Classic 50
The Transju’ got off to a perfect start on Saturday with the Classic 50 km race between Lamoura and Les Rousses, held in ideal conditions. Already winners in the past, Thomas Joly and Hanna Fine confirmed their status by once again triumphing on this demanding course.
In the men's race, Thomas Joly (Team Ramudden) made the difference on the Sambine climb to clinch his third victory in the Transju' Classic 50, after 2022 and 2023. The Jura native finished ahead of Nathan Jouannon and Germany's Max Olex, who made a strong comeback.
In the women's race, Hanna Fine achieved a double victory. Already the winner last year, the 25-year-old skier quickly took the lead before winning by almost three minutes. Suzette Christin took second place, ahead of Laurie Flochon Joly.
In the Classic 25, Constant Missillier won the men's sprint, while Carla Wohler took the women's victory.
With 2,500 participants taking part in all of the weekend's events, La Transju' once again confirmed its appeal, bringing together champions and enthusiasts from 35 different countries.
Now it's time for the main event: the Transjurassienne skating race, which will take place this Sunday on the same course. Among the favorites are Clément Parisse in the men's race and Juliette Ducordeau, the defending champion, in the women's race. It promises to be another great day of sport and camaraderie in the unique atmosphere of La Transju'.
